Registration for UK teams is handled centrally, for international teams it is done through our regional partners.

If you are a non-UK team looking to enter, please contact your respective national/regional organising body, or contact us for more information.

For UK teams, registration costs £50 per team for independent schools and £40 per team for state-funded schools. There are full and partial bursaries available for schools who would not otherwise be able to attend ICYD. If you would like to apply for one of these, please indicate this on the registration form.

Given issues with schools paying on time in the past, payment will now have to be received 2 weeks before the date of the regional round. Schools that have not paid on that day will not be allowed to attend.

There is a strict team cap of four teams per school. The fourth team slot is subject to capacity and will be confirmed once registration has closed in December. A team consists of two debaters.
